HAMPTON, Va. — Threat Tec, LLC has been recognized by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia as a 2026 Top Virginia Employer for Interns. The award highlights organizations across the Commonwealth that deliver structured, high-impact internship experiences that prepare students for entry into the workforce.
Threat Tec was recognized as part of Region 5, which includes Hampton Roads and surrounding areas. The designation reflects the company’s commitment to providing hands-on experience, direct access to leadership, and mentorship that connects academic learning to operational execution.
“Our internship program is designed to place individuals in environments where contribution is expected and growth is accelerated,” said Jim Crawford, CEO of Threat Tec. “This recognition reinforces the importance of building capability early and creating pathways into meaningful work.”
Through its internship program, Threat Tec provides participants with exposure to real-world problem sets across defense and national security environments. Interns engage directly with teams, contribute to active projects, and develop skills aligned to current operational demands.
The SCHEV award recognizes employers that deliver structured mentorship, meaningful work experience, and pathways to long-term career opportunities. Across Virginia, more than 161 organizations were selected for their role in strengthening the state’s workforce pipeline.
Threat Tec will be formally recognized at Virginia Intern Day on July 30, 2026, in Richmond, a statewide event celebrating employers, students, and institutions advancing work-based learning.
