HAMPTON, VA – May 15, 2015 – Ireland-based Safehaven Marine has just finished their newest prototype, the Barracuda high speed low RCS Interceptor vessel. While it might look like something from the latest James Bond or Batman movie, it is a very real (and cool) reality. Designed for speed and minimal radar signatures, the Barracuda enables military and police entities to navigate waters, as well as swiftly engage threats as they arise.
As you can see in the videos, a below-deck concealed weapon system opens deck doors and reveals ThreatWerx’s™ (formerly International Replica Arms Company) MK19 Grenade Launcher simulated weapon. Put in place to simulate real-world combat firing, ThreatWerx’s MK 19 Grenade Launcher simulated weapon is an excellent demonstration of the Barracuda’s ability to hide, expose and fire a variety or weapon arrangements.
“We are proud to have our product featured on the world-class Barracuda vessel,” says ThreatWerx’s President and CEO, Jim Crawford. “We think their vessel is fantastic and we couldn’t be happier with how our MK19 looks while firing from the bow.”
